Helford Passage ((コーンウォール語:Treth Heyl), meaning ''ferry to Helford'') is a village in west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated on the north bank of the Helford River opposite Helford approximately five miles (8 km) south-southwest of Falmouth.〔Ordnance Survey: Landranger map sheet 204 ''Truro & Falmouth'' ISBN 978-0-319-23149-4〕 The village is in the civil parish of Mawnan: before 1986, it was in Constantine Parish. A pedestrian ferry operates daily from Easter to October between Helford Passage and Helford〔(Cornwall Council website; list of ferries. Retrieved April 2010 )〕 Helford Passage lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with the same status and protection as a National Park.
